AMD came out with a new technology “new generation” of processors - AMD Phenom. Its is suppose to be much better than processors from Intel. Is that really true?

Now days it is much better to obtain good quality processor for less money than in the past. On the other way it does not seem that easy. There are two main competitors on the market (AMD and Intel). Even though AMD is much smaller company (in my opinion it develops great processors) it keeps in step with much greater Intel. Lately there are more and more computers build on AMD technology.

Regarding to AMDs’ server environment, there was a new “true quad-core performance K10“ developed. Today you may also obtain those processors on desktop platforms too (called Phenom). It will not take long to see those new generation processors in laptop devices too.
